Dove Nutritive Solutions Intense Repair shampoo & conditioner - #Review
First impressions are lasting impressions and boy did Dove make this a memorable one! From the moment my package arrived it was neatly presented and smelt amazing. Lets dive in a little deeper to what was included.
With my Dove Nutritive Solutions Intense Repair shampoo & conditioner, I got a Dove Invisible dry antiperspirant, Nutritive Solutions Derma Spa Goodness body lotion, and a Dove purely pampering coconut milk soap bar.
The background on my hair:
I have wavy black hair which I bleached blond about 2 years back. Since the bleaching my hair has been through tremendous damage from heat and chemicals. At this present moment I have dry and damaged hair and I suffer from extensive hair fall and breakage. I literally look like a sunflower when I wash my hair because all the tiny broken pieces stand straight up.
The first wash:
I absolutely love the look and feel of the shampoo and conditioner bottles. They are easy to hold especially with wet slippery hands. When I opened the shampoo bottle it smelt fresh but subtle. The shampoo and conditioner doesn't have a strong sent but rather a clean subtle fragrance which is great for if you suffer from sinus or are sensitive to strong scents.
The shampoo was easy to lather into my hair. I normally give my hair 2 washes and after the second my hair and scealp felt clean and soft which normally does not happen after I shampoo. The ends of my hair weren't as dry and damaged as they normally look and I did not have as much hair breakage and fall out after my second wash.
The conditioner felt amazing as I applied it to my damp hair. It immediately made my hair soft and my hair started to untangle as I applied the conditioner through my strands. The conditioner is light weight which makes application easier as well as give you enough to spread over your hair without using half the bottle in one wash. I left the conditioner on my hair for 10 minutes and then rinsed off. The conditioner rinsed off easily and before I knew it I was done washing my hair and my hair felt incredible. Now comes the real test, How does it look once its dry and styled.
Styling my hair after washing it with Dove:
Oh my word was I impressed when I started to blow dry my hair. My hair was sleek and so easy to manage. I had very little tangles in my hair and when my hair was completely dry it was looked shiny and healthy. My tips didn't look as dry and damaged as they normally do. After my hair was straightened it looked sleek healthy. My ends were not knotted and dry but rather light and straight.
I love the way my hair looks and feels after using the Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. I will be sharing now my hair looks a few days after I washed and styled it. I cannot wait to see what the second wash does for me.
